My Date With Mia

When it was reported that Mia Riverton, whom I've been radio-stalking since we first met in July 2005, would be taking a contest winner on a "date" to the premiere of her film, Red Doors, I was consumed with jealousy and prayed some nice, safe gay boy would win. Little did I know that at least one Frank DeCaro Show listener would take matters into her own hands and actually enter me in the contest.

Then I received the notification that I had won.  (I like to think the contest was fixed...)

Premiere Night Hoping to avoid the red carpet, I tried to mingle with the paparazzi.  Here from left to right is Georgia Lee, the film's director, Jacqueline Kim, Tzi Ma, Freda Foh Shen, Elaine Kao, Sebastian Stan and Mia. (A friend in the know says that "a black arm band on the left arm identifies one as a top."  Hot.)

When I initially tried to snap the above picture, I had my camera set on video.  I captured this brief, shaky footage.

The only existing photo of me and Mia Riverton, taken on the red carpet.  I believe this was taken seconds before Mia told the photographers that I had grabbed her ass.  Thankfully, the photographers didn't capture my suave deer-in-the-headlights  reaction.

After the film, and the Q&A, and the reception, Mia and I grabbed a drink at Memphis in Hollywood.  I don't have any photos but this still from Red Doors will give you a rough idea of how it went.

Finally, here is the cheese that I withheld.  You'll have to see the movie to understand its significance.   Rest assured, the cheese is still in my fridge.   Ms. Riverton is going to have to earn it.
